Pastor Fred Ayers
Pastor Ayers graduated from Auburn University in 1982 with his Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering. One year later he married his wife Ann. After several years and many job relocations, Pastor Ayers accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1988 while working in New Jersey. He and his wife would later become actively involved at Open Bible Baptist Church in Williamstown, New Jersey. In 1995, Pastor Ayers felt the Lords call on his life to preach. He left his job as an engineer and took his family to Knoxville, Tennessee where he began seminary at Crown College. After graduating from seminary in 1997, Pastor Ayers returned to Open Bible Baptist Church to serve as Assistant to the Pastor under Dr. George Riddell (Senior Pastor). In June of 1999, Pastor Ayers and his family relocated to Erie, Pennsylvania where he serves as the Pastor of Walnut Creek Baptist Church. Pastor and Ann have four children: Trisha, Joe, Colleen and Sarah.
Caleb Lancaster, Assistant Pastor
Caleb and Iris both grew up in Christian homes and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior as children. They met at Crown College of the Bible where they were both involved in music ministry. In addition to music, Caleb has served in bus and nursing home ministries, and while at Crown College, Caleb traveled in the southwestern United States and United Kingdom helping with new church plants as well as established churches. After graduation, Iris taught music at Westwood Christian School in Miami, FL and worked with the church youth group. Caleb and Iris served at Grove City Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN from 2010 until coming here in late November of 2012. Caleb and Iris have four children: Zahara, Caleb, Scarlett, and Leilani.
