Our Vision
Our Purpose
Worship God. Connect Together. Serve Others. Multiply Disciples.
Worship God.
This begins with a relationship with Jesus. We join together in worship as we gather and sing praises, give generously, and hear the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100
Connect Together.
We connect in small groups, discipleship groups, and doing life together. The christian life is not meant to be lived solo, but in building relationships and living in community with one another.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Serve Others.
We are called to serve, not be served. We demonstrate God’s love by serving one another. We desire to help all members of Walnut Creek to find their specific gifting and use it to serve others and bring people to Jesus.
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” Galatians 5:13-14
Multiply Disciples.
We are called to make disciples of all nations. At Walnut Creek, we are a disciple-making church that strives to make disciples and further the kingdom of God.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
